Small Business Owners To Benefit As SBA Joins Forces With Non-Bank Lender
CHICAGO IL - September 15, 1998 - Sam McGrier, director of the Small
Business Administration's (SBA) Business Information Centers (BIC) in
Chicago, announced today that the SBA has partnered with non-bank lender
Business Lenders to further promote the needs of small business in the
Chicago area.
A brochure outlining the services of Chicago's Business Information
Centers is underwritten and sponsored by Business Lenders and is
provided to small business owners in the region.
"This partnership speaks to the SBA's ongoing commitment to the growth
of small business here in Chicago," said McGriek. "Just as our Business
Information Centers provide tremendous value to the small business
owner, so too does the SBA's association with a financing organization
that values the entrepreneurial vision we support."
"Many entrepreneurs and small business owners have what it takes to
start or grow their business, but they don't know it, and they don't
know where to look," said W. Randy Dippell, business development officer
at Business Lenders Chicago-office.
"It comes down to access. For many small business owners to succeed,
first and foremost, they must have information about financing made
available to them, information that's often critical to building one's
business. These Centers go a long way toward meeting this need."
Business Lenders is a member of the Medallion Financial Group, a New
York based specialty finance company that is in the midst of developing
an advertising campaign to support Chicago's Business Information
Centers.
